Welcome to Doodlecat - where we enjoy the great outdoors and gather a range of news and views. Much of the content
is courtesy of the generous contributions from the splendid people who participate in the annual TGO Challenge, so there is
a wealth of outdoor experience here, especially if you like walking in Scotland - but we try to range worldwide.
The home page is where we post the latest news and views from the Doodlecat team. You can have your say
too! Just click on the 'comments' link on any of the posts - or if you have a story or photogallery that you think we'd like, then
let us know. Random Doodles and the
Image Gallery welcome guest contributions, as well as the perennial favourite, the
TGO Challenge pages
The blogroll on the right displays ten links to other sites that you might like to try out - there are a lot more, and the list will change each time
you visit or 'refresh' the page.
Enjoy your stay.
Stealth Warning
Readers of
Alan Sloman's blog will be aware that he has purchased a new jacket, described as his "newly acquired 'stealth' jacket" from Paramo.
One might imagine from the description that this is of a sober hue, blending with the subtle shades of nature - not a bit of it. The chromatically challenged designers at Paramo have come up with an absolute corker with this one - those with aesthetic sensibilities should look away now.
The fabled 'man in black' has at last emerged from his monochrome chrysalis in a burst of gorgeous technicolor. Spring is here.

He was the man in black. Now....lets not go there :)
It took me a while to remember where I'd seen that shade of green before...

:-)
My man is a man of grey and beige. Imagine my surprise when he emerged in his newly puchased Paramo, in 'burnt orange'. I'll never lose him on a dark night...
Aye, Martin, but Miss W has forced me to publicly admit to an inspired kit choice of my own - an acid yellow rucksack calculated to clash horribly with Al's jacket on the TGOC. We'll be shunned by the fashionistas of the Fife.
Classic piece of vintage Who there, BG!
Louise. Orange! It's worse than I thought. Sober british males are turning into strutting peacocks!
Oi! Elpus! I don't strut!
