The 4000ft route.
Mike Daniels tells the story of the first TGO (or, to be wholly accurate, Ultimate) Challenge to successfully incorporate all of the 4000ft mountains. And not in the kindest of weather - those ice axes aren't just for show!

I am totally in awe of the pair of you. Wonderfully written in a beautiful understated style. Just looking at the maps and working out the days, and carrying the equipment you needed - well - its a fantastaic achievement.

Wow! This is truly inspiring stuff. What an utterly fantastic achievement, from the climbing of the 4000 feet peaks to the pushing on to Montrose on the last day, when already exhausted. Thank you very much indeed for writing it up. I loved the photos too, showing the heavy kit you had to carry. Amazing :)
