Picture of Doodle - a
black cat

Welcome to Doodlecat - and if you've been here before you might have noticed that the site looks a little different. Yes, the long promised new site is here at last.

Much of the content of Doodlecat is courtesy of the generous contributions from the splendid people who participate in the annual TGO Challenge so there is a wealth of outdoor experience here - especially if you like walking in Scotland - but we try to range worldwide.

The home page is where we post the latest news and views from the Doodlecat team. You can have your say too! Just click on the 'comments' link on any of the posts.

Please note - the Blogroll on the right hand side which shows the top ten latest updates to other sites is not working right now - Blogrolling.com, the service provider is working on it and we hope to have it back soon.

Enjoy your stay!

This week on Doodlecat

Coming up later this week we have Jean Turner's 2007 Challenge account - with pictures. Jean chose a route from the most southerly start point (Ardrishaig) to Rattray Head, way up north. Walking, sailing (yes, sailing!) and ending with a sprint finish.

Plus, the first invitations will be going out to guest contributors for the site - yes, that's what this 'bloggy' bit of the site is for. It's to allow a range of people, most of whom do not have a presence on the net, to post here as and when they want - and, of course, using good ol' Blogger, they will be able to post from anywhere in the world! So look forward to some alternative opinions, news and chat later on in the month.

Oh, and just in case you forgot...TGO...out Thursday...with the Challenge application form!

Jean's 2007 Challenge diary is now published on the TGO Challenge page. An unusual route, a good read...and it's given me some food for thought if I get on next year. Thanks Jean!
